Springlok* Spring Steel Compression Rings
CR Compression Rings are designed to create a compressive force to the outside diameter of a plastic moulded knob hub, thereby closing the gap on the hub to create a tighter fit of the knob hub onto the shaft. This increases the pull of load required to remove the knob from the shaft.
HSL, in line with all other manufacturers of spring steel clips, refuses to accept liability for any premature failure of any spring steel part it supplies with an Electro-Plated Finish that has been specified by the customer, due to uncertainty regarding the incidence of, identification of, control of and removal of Hydrogen Embrittlement. Despite accurate processing controls, baking cannot be relied upon to guarantee removal of Hydrogen. We strongly recommend alternative finishes be specified.
