KCD type Knob Clips are designed to remain captive in the knob whilst providing a spring retention on the shaft there are heavy-duty versions to increase the spring pressure on the shaft to give a higher pull-off load performance. These parts are available in self-colour Code 00 and in organic finishes.
HSL in line with all other manufacturers of spring steel clips refuses to accept liability for any premature failure of any spring steel part it supplies with an Electro-Plated Finish that has been specified by the customer, due to uncertainty regarding the incidence of, identification of, control of and removal of Hydrogen Embrittlement. Despite accurate processing controls, baking cannot be relied upon to guarantee removal of Hydrogen. We strongly recommend alternative finishes be specified.
