RB Radius Back Edge Clips are quick fit versatile fasteners, available in a wide selection of panel ranges to satisfy any conceivable application. Their primary function was to secure cloth or leather trim to panels whilst displaying an acceptable finish on the cloth side should they remain visible in the application. The fact that there are no barbs on the D side ensures that it fits almost flush with the panel providing a neat appearance. These parts are usually supplied in a black phosphate finish.
HSL in line with all other manufacturers of spring steel clips refuses to accept liability for any premature failure of any spring steel part it supplies that has been specified with an Electro-Plated Finish by the customer, due to uncertainty regarding the incidence of, identification of, control of and removal of Hydrogen Embrittlement. Despite accurate processing controls, baking cannot be relied upon to guarantee removal of Hydrogen. We strongly recommend alternative finishes be specified.
