EC2 Edge are quick fit versatile fasteners and available in a wide selection of panel ranges to satisfy any conceivable application. These parts are usually supplied in a black phosphate finish. HSL, in line with all other manufacturers of spring steel clips, refuses to accept liability for any premature failure of a spring steel part it supplies with an Electro-Plated Finish that has been specified by the customer, due to uncertainty regarding the incidence of, identification of, control of and removal of Hydrogen Embrittlement. Despite accurate processing controls, baking cannot be relied upon to guarantee removal of Hydrogen. We strongly recommend alternative finishes be specified.
