Springlok* Rectangular Spring Steel Push on Fix
The * in the part no. denotes that these parts are regularly used and therefore could be available from stock or on shorter lead times than parts not marked. POF Rectangular Push on Fixes allow the designer to not only provide a very fast lightweight method of securing the location of a shaft or the location of a component upon a shaft but also if the edges of the push on fix were designed to butt against a stop then these clips also offer the possibility of preventing the shaft from rotating under light loads.
HSL, in line with all other manufacturers of spring steel clips, refuses to accept liability for any premature failure of any spring steel part it supplies that has been specified, by the customer, with an Electro-Plated Finish, due to uncertainty regarding the incidence of, identification of, control of and removal of Hydrogen Embrittlement. Despite accurate processing controls, baking cannot be relied upon to guarantee removal of Hydrogen. We strongly recommend alternative finishes be specified.
