Springlok* Deep Axle Cap For Dished Push on Fix

DAC Deep Axle Caps are functional zinc finished deep top hat shaped caps for use with the dished push on fix type POFD products. They provide the designer with the opportunity of covering the exposed end of the shaft creating a smooth attractive finish to the end product.
HSL, in line with all other manufacturers of spring steel clips, refuses to accept liability for any premature failure of any spring steel part it supplies with an Electro-Plated Finish that has been specified by the customer. This is due to uncertainty regarding the incidence of, identification of, control of and removal of Hydrogen Embrittlement. Despite accurate processing controls, baking cannot be relied upon to guarantee removal of Hydrogen. We strongly recommend alternative finishes be specified.
