Once widely used in the radio industry for Trimmer Screw retention and adjustment these parts are rarely available from stock these days due to digital tuning.
HSL, in line with all other manufacturers of spring steel clips, refuses to accept liability for any premature failure of any spring steel part it supplies that has been specified, by the customer, with an Electro-Plated Finish, due to the uncertainty of, the incidence of, identification of, control of and removal of Hydrogen Embrittlement. Despite accurate processing controls, baking cannot be relied upon to guarantee removal of Hydrogen. We strongly recommend alternative finishes are specified.
