Springfix* Spring Steel Flat Nuts

FN Flat Nuts are a very cost effective light weight way of providing thread forms that can be slipped into location areas on components to enable mating parts to be screwed to them. The bow in the clip provides spring retention in the location and acts as a shock absorber in vibration conditions.
HSL, in line with all other manufacturers of spring steel clips, refuses to accept liability for any premature failure of any spring steel part it supplies with an Electro-Plated Finish that has been specified by the customer. This is due to uncertainty regarding the incidence of, identification of, control of and removal of Hydrogen Embrittlement. Despite accurate processing controls, baking cannot be relied upon to guarantee removal of Hydrogen. We strongly recommend that alternative finishes be specified.
