Type BS Broaching studs are produced in Phosphor Bronze and Electro Tinned code ET and are for use in Circuit boards or thin sheet materials softer than RB-65. The broaching action during installation creates satisfactory retention in the board, the threaded studs allow assembly of components on to the board which are considered too heavy for solder retention only. The Electro plated tin finish of these studs make them so they are easily soldered, thus they can be used both as solderable connectors and as permanently mounted mechanical fasteners providing good electrical conductivity.
