Hexcinch Flush nuts offer the designer the opportunity of strong thread forms in thin sheet metal and alloys whilst also providing a completely flush finish both sides of the sheet. This means that components can be mounted directly to the sheet without allowances having to be made for protrusions. The Hexagon head prevents torque out and provides high pull through resistance. It is essential that the nut is squeezed into place, time being allowed for material to flow into the coining recess which provides retention in the sheet. Suitable for use in materials of Rockwell Hardness of B - 70 or less. The designer must specify the correct shank length to ensure that the nut remains flush in the application. These flush nuts are available in Stainless Steel clear passivated, Code SS or Carbon Steel Heat treated and plated Zinc and clear passivated Code 60.
