CN Clinch Nuts are a fast reliable method of providing captive female thread forms in thin sheet metal sections. Their ease of use makes them the preferred fastening method for all sheet metal work used in the computer, electronics, electrical and telecommunications industries. A simple squeezing action with a press installs the fasteners into the sheet where they are retained due to the coining groove being filled with material during installation. These fasteners are available in Carbon Steel Heat treated and Plated Zinc and Clear passivated, Code 60, or in Stainless Steel, Code SS. Code 60 products are for use in sheets of Rockwell Hardness of B - 85 max. Code SS are for use in sheets of Rockwell Hardness of B - 70 max.
