SB Hi Torque Flush Head closed end blind Rivet Nuts are manufactured as turned parts to ensure the accuracy of the concentricity between the outer diameter body and the inner wall of the counter bore. Only by accurate machining can the wall remain a constant thickness, ensuring that when the products are set, the wall collapses uniformly keeping the thread forms perpendicular to the sheet. This ensures that the threads will not become crossed on installation of the mating screw. The other advantage gained by turning the rivet nut is that a highly effective knurl can be produced on the outside of the body where the clinch takes effect with the sheet. Not only does this mean that the knurl engages the back of the sheet, it also swells to grip the walls of the hole during installation, therefore increasing surface area contact and improving torque resistance.
