Heat-Ultrasonic Inserts SHV have a tapered design which seats the insert into the hole to maximise the surface contact between the insert and plastic prior to the application of heat or ultrasonic vibrations. The result is reduced installation time, lower radial stresses and improved filling of grooves and knurls with plastic for reliable and consistent performance. This long version is recommended where high torque and pullout performance is the criteria and the plastic component can accommodate the length.
