Heat-Ultrasonic Inserts SHV have a tapered design which seats the insert into the hole to maximise the surface contact between the insert and plastic prior to the application of heat or ultrasonic vibrations. The result is reduced installation time, lower radial stresses and improved filling of grooves and knurls with plastic for reliable and consistent performance. This short version offers the advantage of shorter installation time and lower cost for applications with less stringent tensile and torque requirements, or space limitations.
