Screwin* Insert for Thermoplastic
|
TCT inserts are recommended for thermoplastic applications. Driven by the internal thread the insert cuts a mating thread with the three equally spaced cutting facets as it is driven forward. The buttress thread form minimises plastic displacement therefore reducing installation stresses. The flat upper flank does not vector the tensile, jackout or torque load in a radial direction, therefore radial or hoop stresses are minimised under load. The effect is to enable the use of thinner walled bosses. The resulting external thread form buried deep into the substrate provides a high performance insert capable of withstanding severe pull out loads and torque resistance.
