Available in Steel Zinc Plated Code 60, Steel Case Hardened Zinc Plated Code CH, Brass Self Colour Code BR, Stainless Steel Code SS. SC inserts are recommended for thermoset or thermoplastic applications and some light alloys. Driven by the internal thread the slot pointing towards the bottom of the hole provides two effective cutting flutes and an area for the chips to remain following installation prior to removal of the drive mandrel. The resulting external thread form buried deep into the substrate provides a high performance insert capable of withstanding severe tensile/pull out loads and torque resistance.
